Hand luggage sizes can vary between international flights and carriers, especially for the long haul, although usually not by much. For most international flights, the minimum hand luggage size is 55 x 40 x 23 cm. If your cabin bag is around these dimensions, you'll have no problems treating it as a carry-on.
